Infographics ‘08
One positive thing about an otherwise annoying period of time is the cool infographics that come out representing this bit of data or that. I like this on that I ran across in the Tribune Online
2008 Flood
Here’s a brief video of the flooded street and sidewalk in front of our house. Alex is playing with his buddy Sabastian. Addy thinks the whole thing is hilarious. I’m surprised how easy it was keeping her away from the water, since I think she’s half otter.

Stonehenge
Since I couldn’t check into my new hotel I decided to drive down to Stonehenge. Less mystical or holy than it is just odd. Bunch of big old slabs in the middle of a huge field. Too bad there aren’t any Druids running around

Candidate Orders Aluminum Siding, Phone Disconnected

August 4, 2008 Phoenix, AZ (UPI) - Republican candidate John McCain will continue his presidential bid without the help of a telephone. Sources close to the campaign acknowledged that, for the third time this year, McCain ordered aluminum siding from a telemarketer. After loud protests by McCain over the removal of the phone, staffers decided to leave it on his desk. “It just rings to the National Weather Service when he picks up the phone,” said campaign manager Joseph Weil. “Let them deal with him.”
Cindy McCain, the candidate’s wife, was visibly annoyed by the siding orders. “We have owned an adobe ranch style home for the past 26 years. Aluminum siding is out of the question.” Senator McCain had no comment.
Investigations are underway to discover the source of the telephone siding sales. Federal officials cited a statute which allows for the incarceration of telemarketers who impede congressional business.
Test post from the iPhone
So this is the blogging tool for the iphone . I wonder if it supports HTML. Looks like it does, though it’s a hassle to write.
But I can post pictures from the iPhone’s camera, which is cool.
